What A Before and After!

schiano fenceSchiano Fence, a 48-year-old full service fence contractor headquartered in Rosedale (Queens), N.Y., recently performed an amazing fence replacement at Agudath Israel of the Five Towns in Cedarhurst, N.Y.

It was a “hall of fame” renovation that made the owners happy, and delighted the neighbors as well.

The project involved replacing a totally dilapidated and unsightly wood stockade fence with Trex® Composite Fencing, which avoids any future issues such as rotting, splintering, and warping.

In addition, the complex is a school for young children and the owners were worried that the old fence would fall on a youngster since it is around a playground area. The Trex gates also provide more security than the wood.

Cesar Romero and Leon Idas Zavala were the installers. They noted that the grade needed to be straightened out in order to keep the fence straight across the top, but they could not make that happen so they put a few steps into the line to get the fence closer to the ground. Keeping the fence close to the ground so balls and other toys the kids are playing with did not roll out under the gate was a challenge, but necessary, they said. In the end, a successful outcome.

“The job turned out exactly the way it should have. Huge compliments from the neighbors and the school,” they reported.

Trex Fencing is made from 95% recycled materials, including reclaimed wood and sawdust, as well as recycled plastic from many common household items such as the plastic overwrap on packaging for paper towels and toilet paper, dry cleaner bags, newspaper bags, grocery and shopping bags. Trex is one of the largest plastic film recyclers in the U.S. The fencing is low to no maintenance, requiring no staining or painting.

Schiano Fence offers a complete variety of fence, railing, landscape furnishing and gate automation to four of the five New York City boroughs, as well as Nassau County and Suffolk County. For more information, call (718) 723-2212 or visit www.schianofence.com.
